This Privacy Policy explains how Ace ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use the Ace platform at tryace.bot.
What We Collect
We collect the following information when you create an account and use Ace:
- Account information — your email address, phone number, and company name, collected during sign-up.
- Authentication data — we use Clerk to handle authentication, including Google sign-in and email-based login. Clerk may collect additional technical data as described in their privacy policy.
- Messages and content — the messages you send to Ace, including text sent via SMS and through the web interface, along with any files or information you share with the assistant.
- Usage data — basic information about how you interact with the platform, such as feature usage and session activity.
How We Use Your Information
We use your information to:
- Provide and improve the Ace assistant service.
- Process your messages and generate AI-powered responses relevant to your construction work.
- Send you messages via SMS and email as part of the service.
- Manage your account, billing, and subscription.
- Communicate with you about service updates, support, and important notices.
We do NOT sell your data.
Your personal information and message content are never sold to third parties. We do not share your data with advertisers or data brokers.
We do NOT use your data to train AI models.
Your messages and content are processed to generate responses but are never used to train or fine-tune artificial intelligence models.
Third-Party Services
Ace relies on the following third-party services to operate. Each has its own privacy practices:
- Anthropic (Claude) — powers the AI assistant. Your messages are sent to Anthropic's API to generate responses. See Anthropic's privacy policy.
- Clerk — handles user authentication and session management. See Clerk's privacy policy.
- Twilio — delivers SMS messages between you and Ace. See Twilio's privacy policy.
- Amazon Web Services (AWS) — hosts our infrastructure, including data storage. See AWS's privacy policy.
- Stripe — processes payments and manages subscriptions. See Stripe's privacy policy.
Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored on Amazon Web Services (AWS) infrastructure located in the United States, using DynamoDB and EFS. We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your information, including:
- Encryption of data in transit (TLS/HTTPS) and at rest.
- Secure authentication through Clerk with support for multi-factor authentication.
- Access controls that limit data access to authorized personnel only.
While we take reasonable steps to protect your information, no method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.
SMS and Messaging Consent
By providing your phone number and opting in to Ace's SMS features, you consent to receiving text messages from Ace related to the service. This includes AI-generated responses, notifications, and service updates.
- Message and data rates may apply depending on your carrier and plan.
- Message frequency varies based on your usage of the service.
- You can opt out at any time by texting STOP to any Ace message.

We will not share your phone number or SMS opt-in consent with third parties for marketing purposes. Phone numbers and consent data are only shared with service providers (Twilio) as necessary to deliver messages.
Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Correction — request that we correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
- Deletion — request that we delete your personal data and account.
- Opt out of SMS — stop receiving text messages at any time by texting STOP.
- Data portability — request your data in a portable format.

If you are a California resident, you may have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), including the right to know what personal information we collect and the right to request its deletion.

When we make changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, for material changes, notify you via email or through the Ace platform. Your continued use of the service after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
